Synopsis:

“Like the heart is in pieces. And love tries to glue the pieces back together, this is what the five stories about love feel like. They don’t define it or point fingers. Sometimes it’s missing, other times it’s right there on the shoulder next to you, and only very rarely do you find yourself right in the middle of it. Love can take you over, if you have room for it; you might even feel displaced by it. It’s heavy and constant, you can even die from love, and it’s one of the most desired deaths.

Chekhov’s stories are not about happiness, nor do they aim to be. They simply lock us in a room with the bravest people, those who, no longer having space for bones and flesh, allowed themselves to be entirely filled with love, in every fold, every corner. They became love-people. And love-people know how to exist in silence, without turning on any lights, walking on tiptoes.” – Andrei and Andreea Grosu
