Synopsis: A conversation between a professor and a student about her exam grade turns into a complicated clash of ideas that will irreversibly change both of their lives.

I couldn’t tell you exactly what our performance is about. Mamet’s play is far too thematically rich to be reduced to a single interpretation. Beyond its very topical political dilemma, it is, above all, a human tragedy. We are dealing with two characters from very specific backgrounds, each acting in line with a distinct socio-political context. And it just so happens that these two vastly different worlds collide, and explode.

Perhaps only afterward can we begin to draw our conclusions. But what I believe is certain is that there’s no purely noble intention in this story. There’s plenty of ego and pride. There’s foolishness, naivety, and a desire for power. Because that’s how humans have always been. – Mădălin Hîncu
