Cantus Mundi Festival

Cantus Mundi Fest

Cantus Mundi Fest brings to the stage renowned artists and hundreds of children from the Cantus Mundi choirs. Every year, the audience participates in a marathon of concerts where the children’s voices reinvent the most well-known Romanian songs and explore diverse musical genres.

Cantus Mundi Fest is a concept developed within the National Cantus Mundi Program, through which children from the program’s choirs have the opportunity to collaborate artistically with their idols, well-known bands, or famous soloists, such as Iris, Zoli Toth, Alexandra Ușurelu, Smiley, The Motans, Irina Rimes, Cornel Ilie, Andra, VUNK, Taxi Band, The Mono Jacks, Ducu Bertzi, Mircea Baniciu, and many others.

Cantus Mundi Fest Constanța has already become a tradition by the seaside. For the third consecutive year, the festival is part of the summer series of events supported by the Madrigal Choir and Cantus Mundi choirs in August, on the coast.

National Cantus Mundi Program

The National Cantus Mundi Program is the largest social integration program for children through music in Romania, initiated in 2011 by the renowned conductor Ion Marin and carried out by the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin.”

With a 14-year uninterrupted history of inclusive cultural and social activities, Cantus Mundi today unites 2,289 children’s choirs and ensembles from Romania and the diaspora. Over 80,000 children sing together and participate alongside their conductors and coordinators in promoting choral singing and communication through music, beyond any barriers related to ethnicity, social status, or physical and mental abilities.
